At AEI, we believe in celebrating Life, Love, and Creativity. It is with this in mind that we are offering instructor-led courses in various mediums and groups. We have regularly scheduled classes, individual sessions, and special group programs available for your special event, so there is something for everybody.

KID'S ART CLASSES
Youth Stained Glass
$120
Learn the basics of creating stained glass projects. Learn about different types of glass, how to handle, cut and grind the glass. Also learn how to solder and finish your glass project using the copper foil method. Students will create a small window.
All supplies are included in the cost of the class. Taught by Pamela Tallon.

Beginning Print Making
$85
We will work with the art of print making on linoleum tiles. It is an art that uses tools to cut into the linoleum and black and colored ink rolled onto the linoleum to pull prints from your piece.
Taught by Pamela Tallon.

Watercolor & Paper Weaving
$30
Learn about watercolor painting and create your own combinations of colors, then weave the paper together to make your art project.

90 minutes
For ages 8+
With flexible scheduling, we will work together to arrange dates and times that work for you.
Classes must have 2. Limited to 4 students

Beginning Stained Glass
$150/ 4 sessions
Learn the basics of creating stained glass projects. Learn about different types of glass, how to handle, cut and grind the glass. Also learn how to solder and finish your glass project using the copper foil method. You will need to purchase one roll of solder. If you choose to make a fan lamp, there will be an additional cost for the lamp base and light. These items can be bought at the studio. Supplies that are included in the cost of the class (copper foil, standard glass). Solder must be purchased separately. Instructed by Pamela Tallon.

Intermediate Stained Glass
$130 / 4 sessions
Prerequisite: Beginning Stained Glass or approval from the instructor.
Learn how to design your own original stained glass panel using the Tiffany copper foil method. Learn about using bevels and/or bevel clusters. Glass, copper foil and solder can be purchased at the studio. Instructed by Pamela Tallon.

Advanced Glass Mosaics
$130 / 4 Sessions
Prerequisite: Beginning Stained Glass or approval from the instructor.
Learn how to design your own mosaic plate or vase using your own stained glass design. Instructed by Pamela Tallon.

Advanced Stained Glass

Prerequisite: Beginning Stained Glass or approval from the instructor.
Learn to make a 3-dimensional stained glass piece which includes glass box, business card holder, candle holders, or kaleidoscopes. Pieces can be made out of bevels or stained glass. Student will buy foil, solder bevels, and hardware. Instructed by Pamela Tallon.

Acrylic Painting Instruction
$35 / 1 hr
Acrylic is the most forgiving of all the paints! Learn all of it's virtues including hard edge, palette knife painting and layering with washes. This class is available on an individual basis. Learn basic techniques on acrylic painting. Private instruction with Pamela Tallon.

Beginning Watercolor Painting Instruction

Watercolor painting is the process of painting with pigments that are mixed with water. Of all the painting processes, watercolor painting is known for its inherent delicacy and subtlety! Learn basic techniques like washes, working wet in wet and wet on dry, lifting out and masking. This class is available on an individual basis. Private instruction with Pamela Tallon.

Beginning Drawing Instruction

Learn the basics of drawing including line, cross hatching, shading, and texture. We will start with basic warm-up exercises to get our hands and eyes in sync with each other. Advanced Drawing Instruction

Discover the beauty of drawing with Prismacolor Colored Pencils! These pencils are not the pencils you used in school projects! Learn shading and color blending. We will work off of still life and your imagination. Professional art instruction from Pamela Tallon.

CREATIVE WORKSHOPS
Experimental Watercolor
$80
This is not your traditional watercolor class. We will have fun with watercolors, mixing it with other mediums to get the desired results. $35.00 of supplies are included in the cost of the class. You get to keep the set of watercolor paints.
